Canadian artist Richie Hawtin came a long way. In the early 90’s he was known as one of the instigators of the global techno scene. From the sleepy town of Windsor where he lived, he used to drive to Detroit to lay down the sickest acid beats in the most rowdy warehouses.

Richie HawtinWith Canadian DJ John Acquaviva he formed the label Plus 8 in 1990 to release his own tracks under the name F.U.S.E. He spent part of 2002 and 2003 living in New York City, and also has a home in Berlin, Germany. He travels the world in private jets stocked up on champagne, playing the world’s biggest festivals. You just gotta love the guy.
